  • 5-10 centimeters long

BREEDING

Mice are rapid breeders. A female mice can birth half a dozen babies every week; producing up to 35 young per year. The babies will feed from their mother's milk until mature. Fathers are known to maintain living conditions and provide other foods during the birthing and nurturing process.

THREATS

Mice are common in homes and will contaminate food. Their dander and dust from their dropping cause dermatitis and asthma. They are vectors of many diseases such as:

  • Salmonella
  • Tapeworm
  • Plague (via Fleas and Flies)
